Classic: Gerry Phillips the Manualist

We get too caught up in the “new” thing, here on the interwebs. We’re always searching for the new video, the new band, the new this, the new that. It’s idiotic. There are old, undiscovered gems and there are classics that need to be revisited. In this spirit, I give you Gerry Phillips, the Manualist.

This guy is a hand musician. This means he plays songs with his hands. It’s basically hand-farting, in tune with music. It’s hilarious. There’s little point in describing it any further, though – see/hear for yourself. Here’s his version of Iron Maiden’s classic “The Trooper”:

Over 2.6 million views, that has. Insane. It was posted over 2 years ago. So, maybe you’ve seen it, maybe you haven’t. I enjoyed it today as much as I did the first time, though. If you dig it, feel free to check out Gerry’s other 100+ videos. If you’re really desperate for something “new”, he posted “Eye Of The Tiger” just two weeks ago… Is that too old for ya? I certainly hope not.
